About

Meet the people behind
TaxiManager.

A small UK team. Real people, real names.

No outsourced support, no anonymous chatbots.

When you email us, one of these people reads it.

Paul Taylor, registered tax professional

Paul Taylor

Principal, PBT Tax Solutions

PBT Tax Solutions acts for TaxiManager; HMRC-registered for Self Assessment and MTD, with a background in taxi and private hire compliance at scale.

He sets the product's tax logic and the 2010-first approach to record-keeping built for the trade, not a generic small-business template.

Lucy Ainsworth

MAAT · Peak Accountancy

MAAT, Peak Accountancy: self assessment support, driver-facing tax questions, and help when a limited company or PAYE mix could be more tax-efficient. Independent advice when structure matters, not a one-size template.

Alex Zmuda

Tech lead, TaxiManager

Engineering lead for TaxiManager from the 2010 stack through today's app, releases, and infrastructure. Works with Paul and Lucy so what you see in the product matches the tax model.

Writes product-focused updates for drivers when a release deserves a clear explanation, not a changelog for accountants.

How we work

Three things we actually stand by.

  1. 01

People for people — without the theatre.

We're a small UK team who spend our days on drivers' accounts, support, and the messy details of Self Assessment — not on invented 'we ride in cabs every weekend' stories. When TaxiManager changes, it's usually because we've seen the same snag on a real return, in an email, or on the phone with someone who needs the thing to work. No personas, no performance — just the work.

  2. 02

    We file real returns.

Paul is registered with HMRC as an agent and files Self Assessment returns year in, year out. The product isn't built by people guessing what HMRC wants — it's shaped by the people who actually send the forms in and deal with the replies.

  3. 03

    We don't rent your data.

Your earnings, your mileage, your receipts — none of it gets sold, brokered, or used to train anyone else's model. We're a UK company answering to UK rules. That's the deal.

Want to talk to us?

We read every email. Questions about your tax, the product, or just want to tell us what's broken — we'd like to hear it.
